The Laing’s

On June 14th, 2025, I had the absolute joy of capturing Maggie & Allen’s wedding day. Their love was woven into every moment, through their giggles, tender glances, and laughter that filled the air. As they became one, their families came together too, creating a beautiful circle of love and support. Everywhere you looked smiles stretched ear to ear as loved ones watched the Laing’s begin their forever together.

My first stop was capturing Maggie’s getting ready photos at her parents quaint and welcoming home, filled with warmth and excitement. Surrounded by her closest friends, the room buzzed with laughter and happy chatter as they did each others makeup, shared stories, and celebrated their beautiful bride-to-be. During this time, my second shooter joined Allen as he and the men got ready, proudly wearing their kilts and sharing the morning together. One of the sweetest moments was his dad gently help him get ready, a quiet exchange filled with tenderness, pride, and love as they prepared for such a meaningful day.

Soon the ceremony began, with each guest greeted by the sweetest little newspaper all about Maggie & Allen, something everyone loved reading as they waited for the celebration to start. Their ceremony was tucked away in the forest, on a soft grassy patch, with an arch that look as though it was pulled straight from Bridgerton. Adorned with delicate white flowers and surrounded by perfectly placed chairs, the whole scene felt timeless, romantic, and straight out of a fairytale.

First, Allen entered with his parents by his side. As he reached his place, he closed his eyes, steadying himself while his mom gently comforted him in such a tender moment of love and support. Once their dearest friends walked down the aisle, it was Maggie’s turn, she began walking with her parents by her side, radiant, and glowing with joy. Then Allen turned, opening his eyes, and seeing Maggie for the very first time, all he could say was; “OH WOW”, as pure emotion and love washed over him.

After the ceremony, Maggie & Allen were showered with warm hugs, heartfelt congratulations, and joyful greetings from their loved ones before we set out for photos. During their couples portraits, we wandered around the ceremony grounds, giving them the chance to slow down and simply be together. It was such a sweet time, just the two of them, soaking in the joy of being newly married, as we captured the first tender moments of them being husband and wife.

Soon the reception began, friends and family filled the room with heartfelt words of love and admiration for Maggie & Allen. Their dinner was nothing short of spectacular, followed by the sweetest moment, sharing cake together. Just steps away, they shared their first dance, an intimate, beautiful moment. Before inviting everyone to join the dance floor for a night of laughter, joy, and wild dancing. The Laing’s wedding was truly a celebration of love, and one that will be remembered forever.
